The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet (AIH) has just launched its Continuing professional development (CPD) web resource - a self-directed learning tool designed to assist people working in the health system to maintain or extend their professional knowledge on a wide range of topics in Indigenous health.
All health professionals can now freely access a wealth of quality, up-to-date publications about many health topics of importance in Indigenous health through the new CPD section.
The downloadable publications listed in the resource have all been allocated a number of hours based on the anticipated time it would take to read through them thoroughly. This feature will assist busy health professionals to accurately maintain their CPD record.
It is hoped that the new CPD feature will provide users with a tool to help them broaden their knowledge of the issues facing Indigenous Australians, and by doing so contribute to 'closing the gap' in health between Indigenous and other Australians.
There will also be some exciting new developments happening to the AIH homepage on Thursday this week. These developments will make some of the content on the website easier to locate and will help us to highlight topical website features, while still keeping the same general structure that most users are familiar with.
