Oxfam aims to 'close the gap'

Dr Wayne Sanderson has responded to a call to work with the North West Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Association (NWAICA) to encourage grassroots action in the area of North West Brisbane. Linked with schools and community groups, the NWAICA aims to raise awareness of issues affecting local Indigenous communities. Dr Sanderson has highlighted housing affordability as one of the major Indigenous issues in the North West, which impacts on a range of other social issues experienced in Indigenous communities.
