Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board seeks Accreditation Committee member

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia is calling for nominations or expressions of interest to join the Accreditation Committee.

The board seeks nominations from persons who are registered, or will be eligible for registration, as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioner.

The Accreditation Committee:

• develops accreditation standards 
• accredits programs of study 
• monitors study programs and education providers to ensure they continue to meet the accreditation standards
• advises the board of issues in education and practice which may impact upon Aboriginal and Torres Islander health practice and the conduct of study programs.

Accreditation Committee members require a detailed knowledge of national law, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia guidelines, practice standards and professional regulatory requirements.

Applications should be received by COB on Monday 1 April 2013.
