NHMRC seeks consultant for Indigenous research ethics guidelines evaluation

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is undertaking a review of its two Indigenous research ethics guidelines:

• Values and ethics: guidelines for ethical conduct in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research 2004
• Keeping research on track: a guide for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples about health research ethics 2005.

The NHMRC is currently seeking offers from suitable consultants to undertake the evaluation of these guidelines. An evaluation plan has been established and the results will inform the review process. It is anticipated that the evaluation will commence in February - March 2013 and may take up to six months to complete.
