More than 30 000 people were expected to take part in the fourth Close the Gap day on 25 March 2010. Tom Calma, the Campaign co-chairman, acknowledged the funding boost in Indigenous health in recent years, but said more is needed. He declared that an increasing number of people realise it is unacceptable to have Third World health outcomes in a country like Australia.
