Dr Jenny Hunt

Public Health Physician
 

Biography

Dr Jenny Hunt is a Public Health Physician, who has worked in the Aboriginal health area since the early 1990's. Jenny’s work in Aboriginal health has primarily been in Aboriginal community controlled health organisations in the Northern Territory and New South Wales (NSW), and has included clinical practice, public health work, and research. Jenny completed a PhD about improving pregnancy care and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in 2013. She has since contributed to the development of national antenatal care guidelines and Aboriginal-specific guidance relating to pregnancy care.

Between 2004 and 2016, Jenny was employed as a Public Health Medical Officer by the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW (AHMRC), the NSW peak body for Aboriginal community controlled health services. Since leaving the AHMRC she has been involved in a range of project and consultancy work.
