Biography

Jennifer Tieman is the Associate Dean of Research and an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Palliative and Supportive Services at Flinders University. She is also the CareSearch Director and Co-Chief Investigator of the Australian Knowledge Network in Palliative Care Project.

The CareSearch project is a national knowledge resource for those providing palliative care and those affected by palliative care. The work from this project has led to the development of a specialist bibliometric research group, known as Flinders Filters, which is an online search filter that aids users in finding evidence based research. Jennifer is also involved in other projects and grants including; the Aged and Palliative Care in South Australia Project for Telehealth in the Home - Palliative Care, Aged Care and Clinical Rehabilitation in SA, as well as the Centre of Research Excellence in End of Life Care funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council, both of which she is the Chief Investigator.

Jennifer’s research interests lie in clinical sciences, health services research, library and information systems and public health and health services.
