Biography

Linda is an Indigenous Project Officer at the Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA). She is a Murri woman from Winton, Central West Queensland, with cultural links to the Kalkadoon tribal group.

Linda has worked in the area of social welfare and health for over 30 years. She began her career as a youth worker, then progressed to become a generalist Indigenous Health Worker in mental health providing support and advocacy. Linda also worked as a Senior Project Officer at Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Care (IROC), serving Indigenous communities in rural and remote locations across Australia.

Linda is currently working towards a Masters in Research exploring the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of respiratory illnesses from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.
