Biography

Justin Mohamed has held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Reconciliation Australia since 2014. Justin is a proud Aboriginal man of the Gooreng Gooreng nation near Bundaberg in Queensland.

Over the past 25 years Justin has worked towards building a stronger nation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. In his role at Reconciliation Australia, Justine is responsible for leading the organisation through programs and initiatives, including Reconciliation Action Plans, Narragunnawali Reconciliation in Schools and Early Learning and National Reconciliation Week. He is also the Co-chair of Cricket Australia’s National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cricket Advisory Committee and is on the Boards of both Vision 2020 and Supply Nation.

Justin was the Inaugural Director of the Academy of Sport, Health and Education, which is an initiative of the Rumabalara Football/Netball Club and previously chaired the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO), the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) and was Co-Chair of the National Health Leadership Forum.
