Biography

Associate Professor Conigrave coordinates drug and alcohol education in the University of Sydney Medical Program and is the course coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Issues and Health, an elective in the Master of Public Health program. She is a member of the Education Committee, Chapter of Addiction Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Her research focuses on alcohol and drug use and its impact on health, coming from a public health perspective. She has a special interest in early detection and intervention for alcohol problems, and on putting best evidence into clinical practice in relation to interventions for alcohol and drug use disorders. Over the past 10 years she has had the opportunity to work collaboratively in research with Aboriginal agencies and communities, in their efforts to address substance misuse.
