Associate Professor Vick has been involved over the past decade in a range of issues concerning Indigenous road safety. She has conducted research exploring issues of bike safety with Indigenous young people, is a 'driver' of the Road Safety network within the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet, was a member of the Steering Committee (and Chair of the Education sub-committee) of the Queensland Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples Driver Licensing Program. She has also worked with Catholic Education on the development of the Drive 4 life program designed to integrate road safety and driver licensing issues with a strong sense of identity and community responsibility.
