Jill Smith is Chief Executive Officer of the Council for Aboriginal Alcohol Program Services (CAAPS), a position she has held since 2013.
Jill has experience working in remote areas with Aboriginal communities and corporations to develop programs aimed at improving the health of Aboriginal people. Prior to commencing in her current role, Jill served as Operations Manager and State Director for Mission Australia in the Northern Territory (NT). Jill also worked with the Department of Community Services, based in Broken Hill, where she managed services from rural New South Wales to the South Australian and Victorian borders and then in community services as Deputy Director for Youth off the Streets. In her current role, Jill is responsible for providing the delivery of residential rehabilitation and support services to families and young people who are affected by alcohol and other drugs in the Top End of the NT.
Jill is a member of the NT Council of Social Service.
In 1996 Jill received the Mitchell Austin Brown Memorial Prize for academic achievement.
