Genevieve Quilty was the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Optometry Australia. Genevieve resigned from her role as CEO in February 2017.
Genevieve has a history of working in senior policy and political roles in the Australian Government, including chief of staff and senior policy advisor to the Minister for Finance and Administration and senior policy advisor to the Federal Treasurer.
Following this, Genevieve went on to have a longstanding career working in the area of eye health. Genevieve worked at the Optometrists Association of Australia, now Optometry Australia, as both National Policy Officer and CEO for over 18 years. She led the organisation through its rebranding from Optometrists Association of Australia to Optometry Australia and was responsible for implementing major campaigns and changes to support eye health and the role of optometrists among consumers and general practitioners.
